WELCOME TO OUR FIRST JOGATHON!
We are anticipating a fun and an exciting event. Our students will be jogging to raise funds for a new gymnasium and athletic equipment. Students will be jogging (or walking, if necessary) around a 220-yard course for 30 minutes (a 110-yard course for 15 minutes for pre-school through 3rd grade).

Operation Tabernacle
Just think... wouldn't it be absolutely terrific if we could have a portable gymnasium on our lower playground so that our students from can utilize it for their P.E. classes, sports and other school events? With our 40th anniversary coming up in 2009, we hope to raise $400,000 to build the gym by the fall. We need you to be a source of contact for workers, financier and prayer warriors.

Re-Registration Time
For financial assistance, apply to TAD, an outside agency, to assess your need as the school will consider their recommendation.

A Perfect SAT Score!
Maryanne Kim, a junior, has learned she achieved a perfect score of 800 on the SAT II Math section taken this past October. Maryanne joins the ranks with two other Beacon High students who achieved perfect scores in the areas of math and biology.

Did You Know?
... Our first alumnus, Class of 1986, Jay Schwartzendruber, is the editor of CMM, top Christian music magazine based in Nashville.
... Mr. Ken Evans, our Prayer Board member, father of Kathy (Gr. 3), Megan (Gr. 1), and David (Pre-K) will be traveling to Israel.He and his wife Kelly are graduates of Biola U.

Christian Heritage Tour
A 9-day tour of Boston, New York City and Washington, D.C. next May is being planned for our Beacon High students and required for juniors and seniors, with a few openings for freshmen and sophomores. This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity to learn about this great nation founded by our strong Christian forefathers.

Rising Star
Kristina Gates, Class of 2004, led the Bethany University Bruins basketball team in a first round playoff victory against Simpson University. Kristina scored 21 points and had 10 rebounds. Way to go Kristina!
