As a notable distinctive, Alpha Beacon is one of thirteen K-12 schools accredited by ACSI in Northern California, which has a membership of 5000 schools representing more than one million students all over the world. Among the major commendations for the school noted by the visiting committee were for:
Annual Stanford Achievement Test scores in both elementary and high school levels have typically averaged one to two years above the national average test scores. This can be partially attributed to a sound academic program focused on basics such as phonics for reading and an accelerated curriculum of traditional math. At the same time, advance technology has equipped classrooms with computer laptops. Discipline and order are evident in classrooms, providing an atmosphere for optimum learning. Most important of all, scriptural principles are integrated in the Christ-centered curriculum and practiced in the lifestyle of the teachers. Character training is a strong focal point at Alpha Beacon, whether performing on stage, participating in academic or athletic competition. Positive relationships with those who are in authority (God, parents, teachers, employers, etc.) as well as with their peers is a key to a happy, fulfilling, peaceable life. Thus, character traits such as respect, kindness, honesty, industriousness, loyalty and trustworthiness are expected to be incorporated in the teacher's daily lesson plans. The alumni track record of Beacon High shows that many of its graduates have entered and graduated from higher institutions of learning such as Biola University, Stanford University, U.C. Berkeley, U.C. Davis, Loma Linda University, and the U.S. Military Academy at West Point. Some are presently pursuing fields of military, medicine, dentistry, politics, teaching, journalism, business and missions. There is an intimate bond that draws many alumni back to the campus throughout the year because of the close relationships developed throughout the year. A few alumni have returned to become part of the teaching staff. Armed with tools to emphasize a strong faith and family alliance, Alpha Beacon Christian School has been accomplishing its mission since 1969 in educating and training godly leaders to impact the world of tomorrow.

To support the three-fold purpose of the school, students will be trained to apply the principles of the Bible to their daily lives. Our programs will focus on the development of Christian character, leadership skills, social graces, and the appreciation for culture as expressed through the fine and performing arts. Our academic instruction will include training in several subject areas emphasizing the skills of reading, writing, and oral communication. Students will be instructed in mathematical reasoning, computation and application. They will also be trained to maintain proper levels of physical fitness. Established since 1969 and accredited by ACSI (K-12th grades), Alpha Beacon Christian School has served thousands of families on the San Francisco Peninsula with a strong, traditional Biblical-based education. Incorporated as a non-profit organization, the school is governed by a Board of Directors with an advisory Prayer Board which meets monthly to discuss and pray over school matters of concern.
